I used YouTube to make studies of the flow of snow avalanches tumbling down mountainsides by occasionally pausing the action to make overlapping line drawings in pencil. These lines were dotted in ink before the final erasure of the pencil. To my eye, they made quite interesting ink drawings, but when I scanned them into a computer and reversed them to negatives, they pleased me much more. Consequently, they could then only be produced as digital prints.
